Emmerdale fans, anyone....? No? I thought that every cool 19-year-old would be obsessed with that show but ok. Anyway if you have been watching the occasionally predictable and not so intellectually stimulating soap opera depicting the unrealistically eventful life in an English countryside village, you can without a doubt share my excitement about the events of last Saturday. Not that any of the places we went to actually had anything to do with Emmerdale, but the scenery made me feel like I was in the middle of my favourite TV show.
Me and my friend took a bus trip to the picturesque and idyllic villages in the Cotswolds, which was a refreshing and much needed break from the busy city life. The bus took us to four different places: Bibury, Northleach, Bourton-on-the-Water and Burford. We had 1-2 hours of free time in each village to explore the beautiful Cotswolds, take photos, eat and just walk around.
As someone who could never, ever in a million years imagine living in a small village like the ones we visited, I was immensely surprised by how much I actually enjoyed that day. Out of all the trips me and my friend have taken so far (which is beginning to be quite many), this one made it's way to the Top 2 of my list (Brighton still remaining the clear winner).
